Usage Scenario
Basic pallet wrapping needs in a low volume distribution warehouse.
Pallet Load Volume: Light (from 2 pallets per day)
Maximum Load Weight: Typically from 500 to 4,000 lbs, but never over 5,000 lbs
Load Sizes: Typically product and/or pallet sizes up to 48" wide x 48" long, but never over 56" x 56"
Maximum Load Height (including pallet): Typically up to 6 ft (72"), but never over 86" high.
Product Handling: The wrapper will be loaded and unloaded using a manual pallet truck / pallet jack / pump truck / jigger. A fork lift truck can also be used.
Recommended
Model:
- Mach 1 SONIC LPX
Options:
- Heavy duty standard sized ramp for manual pallet jack ...
(12" flat and 48" incline by 48" wide) - Independent settings switch for 3 load types
(Allows all machine functions to be set differently for up to 3 different load types. A very easy to use and inexpensive option that helps to accommodate for a need to wrap different load types in different ways)
Other options to consider:
- Heavy duty larger sized ramp for powered walkies [walk behind and ride-on]
(24" flat and 48" incline by 48" wide) - Height detection photo-eye upgrade for dark or glossy products
(Applicable where product characteristics may prevent proper operation of auto height feature)
Usage Scenario
Advanced pallet wrapping needs in a low to medium volume distribution warehouse.
Pallet Load Volume: Light (from 2 pallets per day) up to 30 pallets per hour (conditional)
Maximum Load Weight: Not over 5,000 lbs
Load Sizes: Standard product and/or pallet sizes up to 56" x 56", with options available for larger sized loads
Maximum Load Height (including pallet): Standard up to 86" high, with options available for taller loads
Product Handling: The wrapper will be loaded and unloaded using a manual pallet truck / pallet jack / pump truck / jigger and/or powered-walkie. A fork lift truck can also be used.

- Heavy duty larger sized ramp for powered walkies [walk behind and ride-on]
(24" flat and 48" incline by 48" wide) - Base extension
(Increase maximum load size from an 80" diagonal [56" x 56" load] to suit requirement) - Tower extension
(Increase maximum wrap height capacity from 86" to suit requirement) - Height detection photo-eye upgrade for dark or glossy products
(Applicable where product characteristics may prevent proper operation of auto height feature) - Automatic end of cycle film cut
(Useful in high production rate environments where minimizing operational steps is important to increase handling efficiencies) - Base mounted adjustable roping bar
(This option allows the precise positioning of the lowest level the film is applied to the load or pallet)

Some videos specifically applicable to this model may be found below:
Semi-automatic Turntable
Comments:
- Typical / normal semi-automatic wrapping cycle
- Demonstrates wrapping of load with various box sizes and uneven top layer
- NOTE: no sound in video
Video Features:
- Operator loading the machine wrap (aka. stretch film) into the film carriage
[only required on first use or when film roll runs out and needs to be replaced] - Operator places the load on the turntable of the wrapper with a forklift truck
- Operator attaches the leading film tail to the load
- Operator starts the wrap cycle
- Compete automatic wrap cycle demonstrated
- begin rotation
- wrap up
- auto height photoeye detects top of load
- top wraps
- wrap down
- stop limit detects bottom of load
- bottom wraps
- stop rotation at home position
- Operator cuts film and wipes film tail to load
"Gentle Cycle" Control Option
Comments:
- Demonstrates "Gentle Cycle" control option, for very light or unstable pallet loads
- Included at no extra cost in standard controls package
- This delicate cycle provides a slower rotation of the turntable during the first half of the wrap cycle until the carriage reaches the top of the load and one layer of film is applied. The turntable then accelerates to high speed for the rest of the wrapping cycle
- The slower rotation speed is user adjustable
- If other loads are to be wrapped using a "normal" cycle, we recommend pairing this option with the "Independent settings switch for 3 load types" option which allows operators to quickly and easily select between different load wrap types with the flip of a switch
- NOTE: no sound in video
Video Features:
- Operator starts the wrap cycle
- Compete automatic wrap cycle demonstrated
- begin rotation at slower speed
- wrap up
- auto height photoeye detects top of load
- one top wrap at slower speed
- turntable accelerates to full speed
- top wraps
- wrap down
- stop limit detects bottom of load
- bottom wraps
- stop rotation at home position
"Window Wrapper" Option
Comments:
- Typical / normal semi-automatic wrapping cycle
- Demonstrates wrapping of window (panel, or cabinet)
- There is sound, but no commentary or background music
Video Features:
- Operator places the window on the turntable of the wrapper by hand, and lowers the top platen down (footswitch control) to hold the window in place
- Operator attaches the leading film tail to the load
- Operator starts the wrap cycle
- Compete automatic wrap cycle demonstrated
- begin rotation
- wrap up
- machine detects top of load
- top wraps
- wrap down
- stop limit detects bottom of load
- bottom wraps
- stop rotation at home position
- Operator cuts film and wipes film tail to load
- Operator holds onto the window, raises the top platen (footswitch control), and removes the wrapped window
