Mach 1 DYNAMIC RTX Rotary Arm Automatic Wrapper

This product meets the demand for a higher throughput, heavy duty, conventional rotary arm, fully automatic, with powered pre-stretch, and available options to meet common needs.

AdvantagesDisadvantages
  • May be suitable for unstable loads which cannot accommodate rotation
  • Load weights limited only by the conveying system
  • Greater reliability of non-load bearing components
  • Fully automated operation does not require an operator (loads are transferred in and out via automated conveyor)
  • Fully automated film clamp, cutter, and wipe down negates need for operator (until film roll needs to be changed)
  • Pre-stretch film carriage maximizes the stretching of the film, significantly reducing the cost of packaging per load
  • Pre-stretch produces superior shipping package
  • Full array of available options accommodates needs for over-sized loads and wrap pattern variations
  • Larger floor space requirement (compared to fully automatic turntable systems)
  • Permanent installation required (i.e. not fork lift portable)
  • Increased installation costs (professional installation recommended)
  • Requires higher supply voltages
  • Requires pneumatic power (air)

Mach 1 SONIC LPX - 240h, 3D.jpgSemi-automatic Turntable

Applicable to models:

Comments:

  • Typical / normal semi-automatic wrapping cycle
  • Demonstrates wrapping of load with various box sizes and uneven top layer
  • NOTE: no sound in video

Video Features:

  • Operator loading the machine wrap (aka. stretch film) into the film carriage
[only required on first use or when film roll runs out and needs to be replaced]
  • Operator places the load on the turntable of the wrapper with a forklift truck
  • Operator attaches the leading film tail to the load
  • Operator starts the wrap cycle
  • Compete automatic wrap cycle demonstrated
    • begin rotation
    • wrap up
    • auto height photoeye detects top of load
    • top wraps
    • wrap down
    • stop limit detects bottom of load
    • bottom wraps
    • stop rotation at home position
  • Operator cuts film and wipes film tail to load

Mach 1 SONIC LPS - 240h, 3D.jpg"Gentle Cycle" Control Option

Applicable to models:

Comments:

  • Demonstrates "Gentle Cycle" control option, for very light or unstable pallet loads
  • Included at no extra cost in standard controls package
  • This delicate cycle provides a slower rotation of the turntable during the first half of the wrap cycle until the carriage reaches the top of the load and one layer of film is applied. The turntable then accelerates to high speed for the rest of the wrapping cycle
  • The slower rotation speed is user adjustable
  • If other loads are to be wrapped using a "normal" cycle, we recommend pairing this option with the "Independent settings switch for 3 load types" option which allows operators to quickly and easily select between different load wrap types with the flip of a switch
  • NOTE: no sound in video

Video Features:

  • Operator starts the wrap cycle
  • Compete automatic wrap cycle demonstrated
    • begin rotation at slower speed
    • wrap up
    • auto height photoeye detects top of load
    • one top wrap at slower speed
    • turntable accelerates to full speed
    • top wraps
    • wrap down
    • stop limit detects bottom of load
    • bottom wraps
    • stop rotation at home position

Mach 1 SONIC RTX - 240h, 3D.pngRotary Tower Semi-automatic

Applicable to models:

Comments:

  • Rotary arm wrappers are suitable for applications in which very light or unstable loads are loaded into the wrapping machine using a manual pallet jack (aka. hand pump truck) or powered-walkie and cannot accommodate transfer up a ramp
  • Shows pallet safety hoop and emergency stop photoeye system
  • NOTE: no sound in video

Video Features:

  • Operator places the load under the wrapping machine with a manual pallet jack (aka. hand pump truck)
  • Operator loading the machine wrap (aka. stretch film) into the film carriage
[only required on first use or when the film roll runs out and needs to be replaced]
  • Operator attaches the leading film tail to the load
  • Operator starts the wrap cycle
  • Compete automatic wrap cycle demonstrated
    • begin rotation
    • wrap up
    • auto height photoeye detects top of load
    • top wraps
    • wrap down
    • stop limit detects bottom of load
    • bottom wraps
    • stop rotation at home position
  • Operator cuts film and wipes film tail to load

Mach 1 SONIC LPA - 240h, 3D.jpg"Portable" Automatic

Applicable to models:

Comments:

  • The machine wrap (aka. stretch film) tail is automatically managed, not requiring an operator to attach the film to the load at the beginning of the wrapping process
  • At the end of the cycle a fully automatic cut and wipe down seal is produced
  • Forktruck operator does not need to dis-mount to load or unload the wrapper, nor to start the wrap cycle (i.e. remote start)
  • Useful in high production rate environments where minimizing operational steps is important to increase efficiencies
  • NOTE: no sound in video

Video Features:

  • Operator remotely starts wrap cycle
  • Compete automatic wrap cycle demonstrated
    • begin rotation
    • wrap up
    • auto height photoeye detects top of load
    • top wraps
    • wrap down
    • stop limit detects bottom of load
    • bottom wraps
    • stop rotation at home position
    • alignment bar positions film
    • film clamp grasps film
    • cut/seal mechanism swings in, cutting the film and producing a wipe down seal
    • end of cycle film carriage raise (to improve cycle time of next load)

Mach 1 DYNAMIC TTX - 240h, 3D.jpgFully Automatic Conveyorized Turntable

Applicable to models:

Comments:

  • Fully automatic operation accepts loads from an upstream pallet conveyor system, wraps the load, and discharges onto a downstream pallet conveyor system entirely without operator involvement
  • During normal operation, the only time an operator is required is to load the machine wrap (aka. stretch film) into the film carriage when the film roll runs out and needs to be replaced (not shown)
  • NOTE: no sound in video

Video Features:

  • Fully automatic remote interlock accepts load from the upstream conveyor system
  • The incoming load is automatically and precisely positioned in the wrap zone
  • Following an automated safety check, the wrap cycle is automatically begun
  • Compete automatic wrap cycle demonstrated
    • begin rotation
    • wrap up
    • auto height photoeye detects top of load
    • top wraps
    • wrap down
    • stop limit detects bottom of load
    • bottom wraps
    • stop rotation at home position
    • alignment bar positions film
    • film clamp grasps film
    • cut/seal mechanism swings in, cutting the film and producing a wipe down seal
    • the load begins to exit the wrap zone allowing the wipe down brush to seal the film tail to the load
    • the load proceeds to the end of the outfeed conveyor
    • the remote interlock to the upstream conveying system will signal that the wrapper is available to accept another load

* All products are designed for operation in a typical warehouse environment (dry, clean, heated).

Options may be available to adapt these machines for operation in other environments (eg. cold, wet, dusty, etc.).

Operation of these machines in conditions for which they were not designed might reduce the life expectancy of the machine and/or negate the warranty.
